i usually listen to techno or pop music
so would bass headphones reduce their sound quality

maybe its just capable of playing lower frequencies. i once design a box speaker and i found out that larger volume speakers have better bass sounds than smaller ones. it has the capability to store that low frequency before releasing it in the air. that’s also one of the reasons why Bose headphones amazed me, where they can design sounds to have better bass even if they had limited volume/area to design at since you have to design a speaker that should fit in a human ear.
